Established in 2019, Salty’s is on Bofa Beach, Kilifi. The resort has whitewashed coastal rooms, beachfront gardens and a popular beach bar and restaurant. Salty’s is known for kite surfing, great seafood, sustainable ethos and a relaxed atmosphere. The superior suite is on the 1st floor and has a sea view. The 3 superior king suites, 3 regular king suites, 1 double room and 4 surfers’ dorms are all on the ground floor. Most rooms have en-suite bathrooms; the surfers’ dorms share a courtyard and bathroom block. Salty’s beach bar is a relaxed area with wooden decks, comfy beanbags, shaded seating spots and ocean views. Local DJs play regularly. The bar serves a selection of local specialities using seasonal and organic ingredients, many from the on-site premaculture garden. The menu changes regularly and can include sailfish carpaccio, piripiri king prawns, Swahili vegetable curry, fillet beef burger and chilli-garlic-ginger crab claws. The tropical gardens have a swimming pool and chill-out areas. Salty’s kitesurfing team offer coaching, private lessons, hiring an assistant and equipment storage. The 9-hour beginners’ course includes kite control, water control, body drag, board control and a start in the water. Equipment hire is in partnership with the respected French kitesurfing brand: F-ONE.

Mnarani Club, on Kilifi Creek, is across the creek from Kilifi town centre. Mnarani Club has lovely views of the creek and the ocean beyond. The name, meaning lighthouse, refers to the resort’s position on the waterfront. 3 Degrees South, a registered Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Centre and Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Scuba Diving Centre, is where the festival’s SUP yoga sessions will take place.

On Bofa Beach in Kilifi, Silver Palm Resort and Spa has beachfront gardens, large winding swimming pool that runs from the reception through the gardens to the seafront and an elegant scented spa. The 40 rooms are made up of 24 executive rooms, 6 swim-up suites, 6 deluxe suites, 2 premier suites, and 2 premier suites with private pool. All rooms have elegant coastal furniture in shades of coral and cream, and low lighting; all have aircon, phone, wifi, safe, fridge and balcony. The swim-up suites are larger, and have balconies that open directly onto the swimming pool. The deluxe suites have a bedroom and living room, and their bathrooms have a bath. The premier suites have 2 bedrooms, living room with bar, and are served by a butler. Mambrui Restaurant, near reception, serves mainly buffets. Forodhani Restaurant, overlooking the beach, has a good menu including prawns tempura, salad niçoise, rock lobster, pepper steak, spaghetti al pomodoro, and chocolate mousse. The bar has an extensive list of wines, cocktails and mocktails. Barizi Spa, surrounding a water feature, has 4 massage rooms, Vichy treatment room, salon, steam room and health bar. There’s also a gym, tennis court and children’s games room.

Recently renovated, Distant Relatives is an ecofriendly backpackers located off of Kilifi Creek, about 15 minutes from the festival, but close to SUP and Dhow activites. They have a pool, delicious food in their funky restaurant and lively bar. All forms of accommodation (with the exception of camping) include mosquito nets and bed linen.
